What’s New: Account hours display & status
Why are we changing things?
We're always working to improve Time Auction's platform based on your feedback. We understand that seeing unavailable hours in your wallet alongside our 12-month reward redemption policy can be confusing. That's why we've updated your volunteer hours wallet to make tracking simpler and more intuitive.
1. Available Hours Display Update
Your navigation bar will now display only hours that are available for reward redemption, making it easier to see what you can use right now! This means:
- Expired hours will not be included in your available hours total
- Pending hours (those awaiting verification) will not be shown in your total
2. Hours Status Categories
Your Hours Log Dashboard now features a new status category that clearly shows which hours are available for redemption.
- "Expired" status indicates verified hours that are more than one year old from when they were first logged
- These hours are still permanently recorded on your dashboard to recognize your volunteering contribution
- This "Expired" status aligns with our existing 12-month policy as stated on our rewards pages
3. Changes to Reward Redemption
To make redeeming your hard-earned volunteer hours more transparent and efficient, we've streamlined our reward redemption system. Here's what's changing:
- The system now validates your available hours before you place a bid. You'll only be able to proceed with redemption if you have enough valid hours—even if your total logged hours meet the requirement.
- Some rewards will now be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, with instant redemption once you have sufficient valid hours.
These updates give you a clearer picture of your verified, usable volunteer hours. Your hours status is now clearly visible throughout your dashboard, making it easier to track both your volunteering progress and reward redemption opportunities.
