Community Guidelines for Organizations

Community Guidelines 3

At Time Auction, we value our community greatly and work with our partners to uphold the below standards and behaviours, which keeps the volunteers engaged and motivated! These guidelines will help you understand what it means to be a non-profit or social enterprise partner on our platform.

Things to do:

  • Play nice
    We’re a diverse and inclusive community. Be polite and understanding in your interaction with others.
  • Be responsive
    We are here to support one another. Whether it’s a volunteer enquiry or question from our team, please respond promptly to be respectful of everyone’s time. Generally, we expect organisations to get back to volunteers within a week's time.

  • Interview and Expectation Alignment
    We require organisations interview the volunteers before sending them an offer. This is not only to ensure that they are suitable candidates for your project, it is also an extremely crucial process to align expectations on the project details and their scope of responsibility.
  • Be patient
    Most volunteers have full-time jobs or other commitments, so please be patient as it may take some time for them to get back to you.
  • Be clear and transparent
    Create projects and time commitment that are realistic, and communicate these clearly to the volunteers. A large part of a rewarding volunteer experience starts with expectation alignment.

Things not to do:

  • Don't spam
    You may receive the volunteers’ contact information, do not add those to your own database unless you have received explicit consent from the volunteers. Your account will be deleted and we’ll take appropriate action, which may involve legal actions in breach of data privacy laws.
  • Don't use Time Auction for commercial purposes
    Don’t harass, spam or solicit business from other volunteer and organization members. Accounts of such behavior will be deleted.

In conclusion

Thank YOU for your effort in upholding our community shared values, encouraging more individuals to volunteer their skills and accelerating the impact generated!

Failure to comply with our community guidelines, privacy policy and terms and conditions may result in us taking any or all of the following actions:

  • issuing of a warning;
  • immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our platform;
  • immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any projects you posted on our platform.

Your account will be suspended for a year if you receive multiple negative reviews from volunteers as we prioritise nonprofits who comply with our community guidelines. To reactivate your account, you may undergo a review process that requires our team's approval to ensure improvements have been made.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone and may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.
