Looking for youths to share personal experience on the topic around disability
Stand By Me is an exploratory project by Resolve Foundation to develop an active bystander training program with and for diverse youth in Hong Kong. It builds on a ground-breaking bilingual equality toolkit we released in October 2021 to empower people to be allies and active bystanders in everyday settings when it comes to race, gender and disability. Resolve now seeks to develop a stream of work focused on youth between the ages of 16-24.
As a focus group participant the youth participants would: ● Receive a small gift and a certificate from RESOLVE ● Receive a travel allowance (HKD60) for travel to and from the venue ● A unique opportunity to inform the content of a program designed to stop discrimination and build allyship.
Resolve now has support to do a consultative scoping exercise with 30-40 youth from disadvantaged and underrepresented backgrounds to build the foundations for a pilot program on active bystander training designed specifically for youth in Hong Kong. This particular group on March 18 will be targeting youth with disability experience. The focus group will last 90 minutes and will be interactive.
