Project Details

What we need
  • Coach F.2 secondary school students in literacy exercises using various media, such as newspapers, YouTube clips, radio interviews, and audio stories.
  • Encourage active participation in the classroom to create an engaging and dynamic learning environment.
  • Support and build students' confidence in public speaking by guiding them through presenting various types of text, including diaries, dialogues, instructions, and biographies.
  • Joining 2 sessions is a good start (minimum commitment for volunteers)! However, attending 8 out of 10 classes builds rapport through continuity, so we encourage you to join as many sessions as possible!
Background

Our Conversation That Matters Program provides a platform for young people to develop communication skills, confidence, and engage in meaningful conversations, which are essential for personal growth, building relationships, and contributing positively to society.

What we have

We provide structured lesson plans with teaching materials to facilitate effective teaching.

Why this is important

The teenage years can be challenging for everyone, and our program provides an opportunity for academic support and personal growth. By developing essential skills, such as communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving, we can nurture lifelong readers and learners.
