Help us receive and arrange goods at the warehouse
Project Details
What we need
- Receive and unload incoming shipments
- Inventory management
- Conduct initial quality checks/ Label and dispose of rejected goods
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, even alone when needed
- Days negotiable, preferably Tue/Wed/Fri, 1-2 days a week (10:00 - 17:00)
Background
The Incoming Department is responsible for receiving shipments of donated goods. Warehouse Coordinators unload and inventory such shipments, and conduct quality checks. Occasionally they will be asked to manage casual volunteers at Incoming.
What we have
Training will be provided, and a manager will be present to oversee and guide you throughout the whole process. Full-day volunteers are also more than welcome to stay for free lunch!
Why this is important
By receiving and categorizing shipments, the Incoming Department enables the rest of the processing departments to operate at maximum capacity. The higher the processing efficiency, the better we can help those in need.
