The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society (HKBWS) was founded in 1957 and is a public charitable organization in Hong Kong. HKBWS also became a BirdLife International Partner in 2013, a member of The East Asian-Australasian Flyway Partnership in 2020 and a member of International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) in 2022. HKBWS promotes appreciation and protection of birds and their habitats through research, habitat management, education and conservation advocacy to achieve the vision of “People and birds living in harmony as nature continues to thrive.”

What is bird watching?

Bird watching is a rewarding activity that connects you with nature through your senses. As you observe birds in their habitats, you engage not just your sight but also your hearing, listening to their songs and calls. We hope through this activity, participants can increase their awareness of the environment and foster a deeper appreciation for wildlife and ecosystems, whether in a busy park, an open farmland or a quiet forest.

Established on 8 March 1997, Association Concerning Sexual Violence Against Women (ACSVAW) is a non-government charitable organisation that works to raise awareness of sexual violence against women and promotes a gender equal environment.

Meet Ben, the partnership lead for The Hong Kong Virtuoso Chorus (HKVC), an organization that collaborates with over 300 schools in Hong Kong. 

In this call, Ben will provide an overview of the social purpose-driven art groups landscape in Hong Kong, with a focus on school partnerships from an Art Education perspective.

As an arts administrator specialising in fundraising, I have extensive experience in developing government and foundation grant proposals, as well as sponsorship decks for corporate and individual donors.
