What we need

• Join us for a 30 minutes call to learn more about our upcoming major events and our mission
• Work with office team to prepare project materials and liaise with both internal and external stake holders for the organization of major events
• Volunteers who are available at least 2 half days per week (weekdays, during office hours) are preferred
• Work location: To Kwa Wan
• Volunteer with no experience are also welcomed! Our team will provide all necessary training

Background

YDA is going to have many major events between October and November 2023. Two of the major events that need support are:1) On 31-Oct, we will hold a charity dinner to raise fund to support children with diabetes as well as the operation of our organization.This will be our biggest fundraising event in the year and we target to raise HK$1 million.2) On 18-Nov, we will hold a Diabetes Conference to showcase diabetes care and latest diabetes technology to children and youth with diabetes, their families and medical professionals. In additions to the main conference, there will also be a children workshops.

What we have

Volunteers will work closely with the Senior Operation Manager and staff team to provide the essential support needed for the preparation of events.

Why this is important

The charity dinner will help us to raise much needed fund to continue our support to children and youth with diabetes, as well as the operation of our organization. The target is to engage 200 guests and raise a total of HK$1million.The Diabetes Conference showcase diabetes care and latest diabetes technology to children and youth with diabetes, their families and medical professionals. The goal is to help educate those affected by the condition and those who want to learn more. Your help is crucial for us in planning the event successfully and making these happen.
