Background

We are a small non-profit hosting a one-day fundraising event featuring a Sign Language music performance to raise funds and promote deaf culture. With our limited team capacity, we're seeking a self-driven, resourceful volunteer to lead this project independently, with access to Time Auction's platform for volunteer recruitment and advisor support. If you’re ready to take charge and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What we have

We have a team with experienced sign language interpreters, social worker and volunteers that have experience in reaching sponsors and holding charity sale. You'll get access to our Time Auction account, allowing you the opportunity to recruit your own volunteer team and connect with advisors for guidance whenever needed.

What we do

CODA Hong Kong (Children of Deaf Adults) is the first of its kind in Asia. Established in 2013, its objectives are to help CODAs of Hong Kong understand and acknowledge their special identity as bilingual and bicultural, learn and develop potential skills, build a self-help community, and adopt positive outlooks of life. CODAs are the second generation of deaf people. We are therefore concerned about government policies of deaf welfare and sign language. Through education, advocacy, publication and academic research, we promote knowledge of sign language and deaf culture to the public and various stakeholders. We believe in building a society in which the deaf and the hearing integrate harmoniously.
