Assist with the production of Chinese local sweets and pastry
Traditional local desserts such as Put Chai Puddings 砵仔糕 and Hakka steamed dumplings (Caa Kwo 茶果) are labelled as old and dying out snacks. Time To Gold is a social enterprise aiming to preserve traditional local dessert culture and empower grassroot women and retirees. We encourage them to create new recipes and high quality local desserts. We combine the traditional desserts with exciting and trendy elements such as lava fillings and different shapes. Together, we are hoping to preserve local food and culture and infuse confidence in women. We are now recruiting volunteers from all age group to join our team. We provide the best opportunity for you to get a taste of traditional culture, food production industry, inter-generational communication as well as outreaching general public. Now it is “Time To Go”!
Training sessions are provided before the volunteer get started
Your help greatly supports the grass-root housewives and elderly during the food production. This will also facilitate with our outreach to general public and preserve the beauty of local traditional desserts.
