  • Lead and invite your community (e.g. family/friends/colleagues/classmates) to recycle the types of recyclables, drop off the collected items to the recycle point every week
  • Target to encourage 5 people to join you in the first month, 10 people in the second and as many as you could in the third month (You can decide on the goals depending on your community size)
  • You'll also get opportunities to meet other Recycle Community Leaders and to mingle with like-minded friends!
Background

We are running a pilot program to empower volunteers to lead their own community projects/initiatives. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in starting a simple recycling initiative and to encourage their community (e.g. friends/colleagues/classmates) to get involved.

What we have

Green Community guidelines (https://www.wastereduction.gov.hk/en/community/crn_intro.htm) and other resources will be provided to help you kickstart the recycling initiative within your community. A briefing call will be provided and you will be working closely with our team during the whole project.

Why this is important

This helps us to get a better understanding on volunteer's interest and availability in leading their own community projects with easy and simple guidelines provided. We can also gain insights in ways to better encourage volunteerism within a community (office/school).

What we do

Time Auction is a charity that advocates volunteerism. We encourage volunteering with inspiring experiences, while connecting skilled-volunteers with NGOs. By volunteering at any nonprofits, one can earn unique access to their passions — from learning to cook from Michelin-starred chefs to dining with inspiring entrepreneurs. With our volunteer community, we also match professionals who want to volunteer their talent with nonprofits that need those skills. Over 100,000 volunteer hours have been contributed to date since 2014.
