Project Details

What we need
  • Lead and facilitate women-only Chai Gathering sessions held every Tuesday in Tung Chung (You're welcome to just lead 1 session depending on your capacity!)
  • Topics should be relevant to South Asian homemakers’ interests and needs (e.g., Arts, Health & Well-being, Upskilling & Personal Growth, Language, etc.)
  • Prepare a 1-hour session with simple PowerPoint presentation and any necessary materials (we can assist with material arrangements)
  • Teach a group of 8-15 women in a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Participant's first language is not English, so please only use simple, basic English when communicating
Background

Chai Gathering is an initiative of the Tung Chung Project dedicated to provide a safe space for women to come, connect, learn and upskill themselves. The project not only focus on the growth but also encourage building relation among the women from different background, helping to create a better & supportive community.

What we have

We can discuss further during our briefing call, we can share more about the participants' needs and interests, support you with materials and logistics for your session, and you'll be working closely with our team as well.

Why this is important

This project majorly focuses on South Asian housewives which gives them an opportunity to upskill themselves, relax and build relationship. With every successful session, we are able to uplift the women who were once scared to even go to the market by themselves.
