Background

We are looking for volunteers to conduct 5 separate 30min one on one piano practicing lesson on every Thursday for our members under age 6 - 15. Each volunteer is welcomed to take up more than one session if their schedule allows.

What we have

Our program officer will do all coordination work between the tutor and the students. A short briefing will be conducted to the volunteer before starts.

Why this is important

Many children from low-income families in Sham Shui Po District do not have the financial means to participate in extracurricular activities and lack opportunities to develop their potential. We provide them with equal learning opportunities.  One of the main projects is to provide different music activities to encourage children to learn to express themselves in music as the physical and mental benefits of playing music have long been recognized. The piano, in particular, has been an unparalleled outlet for those seeking escape, creative expression, and children’s pressure can be reduced. This project is going to meet the overwhelmed demand from our members.
