Be a mentor of secondary school student groups for their entrepreneurship projects in a start-up pitch competition

What we need
- Carry out 3-hour mentoring sessions per 2 weeks, a total of 15 hours during the mentorship period with mentees
- Give kind advice and guidance to the mentees on their start-up idea and strategies
- Read the provided Mentorship Guidebook to learn more about the program and our organisation’s mission
- Be the judging panel with other mentors for the competition's Semi Pitch Day (online)
Background
IdeaPOP! is a start-up pitch competition for all secondary school students in Hong Kong who are creative and eager to build innovation and entrepreneurship spirits. Students are able to gain start-up pre-incubation experience beyond classroom. All entering teams will have the chance to undergo a series of mentorship and training workshops that guide the students to build and present a pitch deck professionally, before pitching in front of industry experts.
What we have
We will provide a Mentorship Guidebook with an introduction to the program and a resource hub for mentors to take reference from. Mentors can also contact us to report any issues or difficulties faced in the mentorship through mail.
Why this is important
This mentorship program is one of the key elements of IdeaPOP! 2024. You would help us to provide in-depth exposure and expert knowledge to the student teams. Furthermore, you will also be the key person to prepare students to pitch in front of a panel of industry experts. You would have a chance to guide and join the growth of around 80 secondary school students.
