Sports Coach
Provide sports coaching for SEN children and youth
Project Details
What we need
- Join us for a briefing on our sports program
- Learn about special education needs and how to coach SEN students
- Lead our sports classes (eg. basketball, soccer, indoor rock climbing) with the support of therapists on site
- There will be 2-4 SEN kids aged 8-13 in each class
- Classes are on every Monday/ Saturday 5-6pm in Sheung Wan, we expect volunteers to teach a minimum of 2 classes per month
- No teaching license needed, but prefer volunteers with English proficiency, passionate in sports or with group coaching experience
Background
We host different sports classes for SEN students, including basketball, soccer, indoor rock climbing, as well as personal fitness class, and we are looking for sports coaches to join us!
What we have
We will be providing more briefing and education on SEN and how to handle SEN students. Rundowns will be provided for the sports classes and our therapists will be on site during class to support the students.
Why this is important
Our sports classes aim to empower SEN students and provide them an opportunity to learn different sports, as provide them an opportunity to integrate into the community.
