Project Details
What we need
- Lead small group indoor rock climbing classes for SEN students on Saturdays 9:15 - 11:30am, from Sep to Nov
- Lead beginners students aged 4-7 for rock climbing classes
- Belaying equipments and harnesses will be provided
- Rock climbing certificate is required (e.g. rock climbing individual certificate, coaching certificate etc.)
Background
We are organizing small group indoor rock climbing classes for young children with special educational needs (SEN) to teach them beginner rock climbing skills, train body coordination and muscle skills
What we have
Belaying equipments and harnesses will be provided. Briefing and training will be given on handling SEN students. Parents will sit in in class to assist and handle students as well
Why this is important
This project helps Rise Wise Foundation to provide SEN students opportunity to explore new sports, connect with the community, and to develop their own interests
