Project Details
What we need
- We are seeking passionate and experienced yoga teacher to lead our therapy dog and participants to complete partners yoga poses, promoting wellness for both pets and their owners
- Develop and plan a yoga session that incorporate therapy dogs in a safe and engaging manner
- Provide guidance on partner yoga poses and techniques suitable for both students and dogs
- Introduce and start the session with meditation
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during the sessions
Background
Therapy dog yoga class is for HKU students to promote physical and mental well-being among participants while fostering a deeper connection between individuals and therapy dogs.
What we have
Reference yoga posts. Yoga mats, props, and other necessary equipment to facilitate the classes.
Why this is important
The Dog Yoga (Doga) project by Rise Wise Foundation aims to enhance well-being by combining physical activity with the therapeutic presence of dogs. By raising mental health awareness and attracting more support, the project helps us expand our reach and fulfil our mission of empowering individuals through compassionate programs.
