What we need
  • Join a 2-hour briefing call to learn about our organization, our current HR policies and practices, workflows and the current gaps and challenges we have
  • Give recommendations on how we can improve our recruitment, reviewing our current JD template and improving it and revising a clearer workflow guidance for managers
  • Be a sounding board as we simplify our performance review process and help us in creating tools for managing performance in hybrid working contexts
  • Provide some mentoring and lunch and learn sharing to team members on different HR topics, particularly those transitioning into people management for the first time
  • Giving us recommendations on what kind of HR metrics we might consider tracking and helping us to analyze trends, with a special focus on DEI best practice
  • Support the team in reviewing our organizational chart, identify capability gaps, think of ways to better onboard and retain staff, and long-term succession planning
  • Making suggestions on how to revise our skilled volunteering and internship programs to make them less ad-hoc and more streamlined, as well as ways to assess impact
Background

Resolve is a S88 charity founded in 2017 to inspire, empower and connect emerging community leaders for an inclusive Hong Kong. As we move from a start-up to a more mature organization, we would like to enhance our ability to plan our talent strategy and drive collective performance of the team. We value that the most important resource to fulfilling our mission comes down to our people. We want our people to grow as Resolve grows. Mindful that we have limited in-house HR expertise, we seek to get the help we need to help our talent flourish, not just in the short term, but in the long run. We are seeking a fresh, unbiased, and expert perspective on strengthening our talent management for greater impact.

What we have

We provide a brief orientation about Resolve and our current HR Management system

Why this is important

At Resolve, we talk about being a learning organization. We always look to ways that we can enhance the quality of our work, and this extends to our operations. Financial accuracy and responsiveness in our reporting is extremely important to us as we value accountability to our stakeholders. As we have grown our number of donors, we seek to ensure that as an organization we can manage this complexity with professionalism. We also seek to build the capacity of our team so as to reduce bottlenecks and ultimately save resources but also to empower members in the process.

What we do

Founded in 2017, Resolve is a s88 charity with a mission to amplify the impact of emerging community leaders to drive a more inclusive Hong Kong. Our name comes from our values: Rights, Equality, Solidarity, Organization, Leadership, Voice and Empowerment. Our programs include our signature annual Fellowship, a structured capacity building program that brings together social innovators from diverse walks of life, and an Opportunity Fund, offering supported seed grant funding to deliver community projects. We also deliver public education and corporate engagement campaigns on furthering inclusive practices, to reach the widest possible audience.
