Background

We’re excited to share that the draft for the 4th edition of our wildlife story series is now complete! We are seeking a skilled typesetter to join our team and assist in refining the final layout, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with the text and is print-ready. Your expertise will play a key role in bringing this edition to life and sharing these inspiring stories with our audience.

What we have

We have already prepared the drafts for both visuals and text, which will be provided to the typesetter. The typesetter’s role will be to combine them seamlessly and ensure they are perfectly aligned with one another.

Why this is important

The Wildlife Notebook Series aims to encourage wildlife protection among future generations through emotive storytelling. Illustrated children’s books will recount separate stories of globally-recognized, endangered and critically endangered, much-loved wildlife which inhabit our world – starting with the orangutan, elephant, and sea turtle, will continue with other wildlife. The stories capture the majestic beauty of these animals while sensitively discussing man vs wildlife conflicts and the plight of these animals. These tales will evoke empathy, love and understanding in children for wildlife, and aim to spark a long-term passion for wildlife protection among school children.

What we do

LumiVoce.org is a Hong Kong public charity. It was founded in Hong Kong in 2016 by Dr. Ying Ying Liu. It aims to shed light (Lumi) on the plight of the world’s wildlife, whose survival is under threat due to human activities, and to give a voice (Voce) to these endangered species. The charity uses music and the arts to educate and inspire people, especially the next generation, to become mindful of their impact on the planet and to actively create a sustainable world for future generations and all living things.
