Set up and provide on-site support for artistic workshops
Project Details
What we need
- Support our workshops from 9:00 am-12:30 pm on December 16-20
- Volunteers can choose to attend one or all workshops
- Volunteers will arrive at 8:00 am to help with set up & help cleaning up after the workshops
- Guide children to create different artworks with approximately 20 children per workshop
- Assist teacher to guide children to participate in different activities
- Help attendees check in
- Applicants are requested to provide a Sexual Conviction Record Check
Background
We're hosting artistic workshops for children to participate and we adopt aesthetic education and social-emotional learning. These pedagogies not only capture their attention but also encourage them to share and express their emotions, foster a deep connection to nature, and develop compassion and appreciation for wildlife and the environment through the power of music and art. By engaging with nature and learning about wild animals, they become more conscious of their role in preserving our planet.

Before the workshops, we will provide you with comprehensive guidelines, a detailed briefing session to ensure you're fully prepared, and a LumiVoce t-shirt to wear with pride. Your support will help create an engaging and impactful experience for the children, and we look forward to working together to make a difference!
Why this is important
It gives us a chance to engage with children, parents and teachers in person since It's important for us to maintain a good relationship with them and to promote our 2025 Voices for the Planet Challenge.

LumiVoce.org is a Hong Kong public charity. It was founded in Hong Kong in 2016 by Dr. Ying Ying Liu. It aims to shed light (Lumi) on the plight of the world’s wildlife, whose survival is under threat due to human activities, and to give a voice (Voce) to these endangered species.
