Project Details

What we need
  • Attend a 1 hour online training/ briefing session on 26 Jan to understand more about us and the program details
  • Help students to take part in the interactive activities covering topics such as leadership, communication, civic engagement and community service
  • Facilitate group discussions in a small group of 10 secondary school students
  • Make sure everyone feels comfortable in participating and expressing their ideas
  • The 1.5 hour workshop will be held in February (date and time TBC, face-to-face at a school in Sha Tin)
Background

We are looking for energetic volunteers to help out in Powered Your Future workshops (PYF)! You will help to supporting low-resource secondary school students to participate in hands-on activities and facilitating small group discussion. Powered Your Future enables youth to explore their strengths and bring out their best. Interactive activities develop confidence and emotional intelligence, preparing them for solving community issues together in Hong Kong.

What we have

Volunteers must attend separate briefing session 30 minutes before the workshop and fill in the Health Consent Form provided by Kids4Kids within 48 hours before the workshop date.Volunteers must attend a 1-hour training session which will take place on Zoom on Jan 26.Volunteers must provide the following:SCRC check,Vaccination Record (Blue QR code),Signed agreement,A copy of your HKID/passport

Why this is important

Bringing opportunities for low-resource students to develop self-awareness about their strengths and weaknesses, enhance emotional literacy and communication skills, and tackle social issues with resilience and problem-solving skills.
