Project Details

What we need
  • Volunteers are required to attend one of the volunteer briefing sessions via Zoom: 31 Aug 2021 (6:00pm-7:00pm) or 2 Sep 2021 (6:00pm-7:00pm)
  • The workshop will be happening on 11 Sep at 2:00pm - 3:30pm
  • To help students run the activities suggested by the Workshop Facilitator
  • To facilitate group discussions in a group of up to 5 secondary students
  • To make sure everyone feels comfortable in participating and expressing their ideas
Background

Powered by Youth is an annual 2-day forum where students will be inspired by the great minds of industry leaders who use their powers to make a difference and tackle real-life social issues. Through keynote speeches and interactive workshops, students will be inspired and equipped with necessary skills to be changemakers.We are expecting 250 students participating from different secondary schools across Hong Kong. We’re looking for volunteers to assist in facilitating small group discussions.Details of the workshop: Sat, 11 Sept 2021 (Passion Workshop: 2:00pm - 3:30pm)

Why this is important

Bringing opportunities for secondary students to: (1) Meet and learn from their peers from other schools-Be inspired by experts from different industries (2) Explore and discuss local and international social issues (3) Acquire innovative problem-solving skills, and (4) Enter the competition to implement their Action for a Cause projects with seed funds and mentor support from Kids4Kids for 6 months
