What we need

• The event will be held from 18 Aug to 31 Aug 2023 (Heavy traffic expected for weekends)
• Please state your availability for particular time slots in the self-introduction box (one-day helpers are also welcome!)
• Support Kids4Kids workshop facilitators in story creation workshops
• Support Kids4Kids staff to set up and close up the workshop
• Ensure the entire event runs smoothly and provide any ad hoc assistance when required

Background

Kids4Kids envisions a future where all kids are empowered to own their learning journey and to create positive impact in the community with the belief that they are never too young to change the world. We are looking for energetic volunteers to help out in our My Story Creation Celebration Exhibition – Land of Creativity, to celebrate and promote storytelling and creativity BY kids FOR kids this summer! My Story Creation (MSC) is an official EDB-approved literacy program promoting biliteracy and trilingualism. We boost kids’ interests in learning, creativity, and imagination to create and tell their own stories. 10 of these stories are selected every year to be featured and published in our Treasury. You will help support our event and workshops for kids to produce their own artwork and stories with a fun and immersive sensory journey featuring Sensory Language Wall, visual aids, and games.

A 30-minute briefing session will be provided onsite on the day of your participation.

Why this is important

Bringing opportunities for kids to develop their ideas, nurture their interest and ability in creative writing and illustration, and encourage more children to appreciate and participate in creating their own stories.
