What we need

• Share your experience with the students on the work you do and your career so they gain more exposure to different careers in the city
• Listen to the students' current plans for their future career pathways and give them some general planning advice based on your own experiences
• Generally facilitate a group discussion with the students (we will email you some pointers and questions to keep the conversation going)

Background

We have been running this workshop for a few years at different schools. We invite a group of volunteers from different professional backgrounds to share their experiences with the students so they can meet more people from different career pathways. You never know, your sharing might just spark a new interest among the students!

What we have

Discussion questions and guidelines will be provided, as well as a short briefing on the day before the start of the workshop.

Why this is important

We hope to connect ethnic minority students to different professionals so that they may have better access to knowledge of the different careers possible in the city and know what it takes to make it in these fields.
