What we need
- Join a 1 hour project briefing meeting/call
- Check the backend of STEM website on WordPress (PHP, CSS, WORDPRESS BACKEND)
- Support web frontend designer to fix all technical bugs & backend problems
- Provide technical advice and support on the STEM website management to HKCIN team
Background
HKCIN is designing a first-of-its-kind STEM educational platform by using WordPress. This website will be targeting underprivileged primary school students in Hong Kong as the main users and hope to build an online maker community by encouraging them to share their projects and ideas on our website. Our designer has already completed most of the major functions but encountered some technical issues at the backend. We hope to find a web developer or programmer experienced in website coding to help us solve the most technical issues to launch the website successfully.
What we have
We will provide WordPress backend login details. You will mostly directly work with our web frontend designer and meet with the HKCIN team when issues are solved.
Why this is important
This platform aims to bridge the gap of lacking resources, knowledge and confidence in achieving STEM for underprivileged students in Hong Kong. We hope this website will pilot a movement in STEM education, especially online, and draw eyeballs to the needs of underprivileged children.
