Be an ambassador and on site event to share the spirit of GGHK and inclusive message to the general public
Project Details
What we need
- Assist in setting up the event booth and provide on-site event support, some events may require a full day of support
- Be our Gay Games Hong Kong ambassador to answer enquiry from the public
- Applicants will invite to complete a 10 minute self-recorded online video interview
- 30 minutes online briefing session will be arranged one week before the event
- Event is on 23 Jun 2023 (Fri) at HKUST
Background
GGHK will take place on 3-11 November 2023, the first event of its kind in Asia. Under the theme “Unity in Diversity”, GGHK will feature a wide variety of inclusive sporting events, opening and closing ceremonies, a festival village, and arts & culture events. We will have various events happening throughout May to November, ranging in different scales. We are looking for Operational Event Support/Assistants to act as our ambassador to share the spirit of Gay Game Hong Kong and help to spread the inclusive message to the general public.
What we have
All marketing, branding and assistance by the team will be provided. Briefings will also be arranged prior to the events.
Why this is important
You will be instrumental in making sure this various sports events will be hosted successfully for Gay Games Hong Kong in 2023.

What we do
Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2023’s (GGHK) unique combination of sport, arts, culture, fun and community brings together diverse groups of people to experience moments of joy. It will create unity and positive attitudes that will last a lifetime in Hong Kong, Asia and beyond under our tagline “Unity In Diversity”. GGHK will take place on 3-11 November 2023, first time in Asia. We are expecting 12,000 participants, 75,000 spectators and 3,000 volunteers from 100 countries. There are 36 sporting events planned including new events Dragon Boat Racing, Dodgeball, eSports, and Trail Running, Opening & Closing Ceremonies, Festival Village, and Arts & Culture events with daily performances, a Gala Concert, LGBTQ+ art exhibitions, and a variety of events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Gay Games. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, or background.
