What we need
- Join us for a 1 hour design call to learn more about the program and our expectations
- Illustrate 15 writing components according to our drafts and previous designs
- Volunteer is expected to have basic skills in written Chinese
Background
We will use your illustrations to create a set of transparent flashcards for non-Chinese children to learn Cantonese effectively through proven methods to teach word recognition (部件認識). Our goal at CantoGather is to empower our non-Chinese community in Hong Kong through providing Cantonese language and multicultural education to all primary schools in Hong Kong.
What we have
We will provide you with the hand-drawn drafts and previously illustrated flashcards to start.
Why this is important
Your illustrations will be crucial in helping more non-Chinese children learn the Cantonese language effectively so that they will have more opportunities in society, starting from having better education to getting better jobs - 能夠粵講粵叻!

Understanding and empowering our non-Chinese neighbours in love through language and multicultural education. We work with NGO and school partners to provide a professional and fun Chinese language programme to non-Chinese children and organise cultural programmes for relationships to be built between our Chinese volunteers and non-Chinese families.
