What we need
- Conduct meetings with relevant staff to develop financial and accounting system
- Develop financial and accounting system using online tools e.g. Xero, Quickbooks
- Establish financial protocols and procedures for a small start-up no-profit
Background
We are a small start-up non-profit organisation providing language and multicultural education for our non-Chinese neighbours in Hong Kong and need to set up a financial and accounting system to ensure we are accountable to the public, our benefactors, and our beneficiaries! We have a simple system set-up but would like to streamline our process through the use of online accounting software.
What we have
Online accounting software (after discussion) and details to our current financial procedures will be given.
Why this is important
As communication is one of our core values, we believe that openly communicating our work to the public and being accountable for our finances extremely important. For us to continue to provide services to our non-Chinese community, we need to have a strong financial system to ensure our work is legitimate!

What we do
Understanding and empowering our non-Chinese neighbours in love through language and multicultural education. We work with NGO and school partners to provide a professional and fun Chinese language programme to non-Chinese children and organise cultural programmes for relationships to be built between our Chinese volunteers and non-Chinese families.
