What we need
  • Volunteering hours will be from 9:30am - 02:30pm on Apr 27
  • Join briefing session via zoom to learn more about the objectives of our event
  • Assist in managing and directing crowds during events
  • Greet guests and provide them with event information
  • Provide logistic support and activities coordination along tram route on Hong Kong Island and Hong Kong Central Library in Causewway Bay
Background

Bring Me A Book Hong Kong is a supporting organisation for Hong Kong Public Library’s Reading Week. On Sunday 27th April 2025, we will be hosting our first READCONNECT Family Day. This will be an action packed family day with an iconic tram ride, ”Bring Me An Author” seminars with local HK authors and illustrators and creative book making workshops.

Briefing session via zoom will be provided.

Why this is important

READCONNECT campaign is a city-wide initiative to promote family bonding through daily read-aloud sessions. This spring movement aims to address the urgent need for more family reading time.

Bring Me A Book™ Hong Kong (BMABHK) is a non-profit organization with a vision of Hong Kong in which every child is read to, strengthening family and community bonds and creating a love of learning. We use evidence-based research to provide: - Transformational trainings for parents and educators - The best Chinese and English children’s books - Quality programs to access authors and literacy experts To enrich the lives of ALL in the Hong Kong community. Since inception in 2006, we have installed over 450 libraries, served 180,000 children through our library programs and trained 30,000 parents through our award-winning “First Teachers Training” Program.
