Project Details

What we need
  • Coordinate and arrange the venue set up, equipment (AV & PowerPoint lesson plan), materials necessary for storytelling, literacy games and students’ presentation
  • Keeping track of time during the class and ensuring that all elements are executed
  • Ensure that all class volunteers understand the logistics and their responsibilities
  • The Event Manager is expected to attend a minimum of 10 out of the 16 classes in the location chosen
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft PowerPoint and Windows operating systems is required
  • The workshops happen on Saturdays 9:30 am - 11:00 am. You are expected to be there at 8:45 am to set up.
Background

Conversations that Matter is a junior secondary school program of Books & Beyond for F.2 (aged 14) local students. Children learn to build their confidence in English conversation together with social-emotional skills to excel in school and in life.

The Conversation classes are important because they provide opportunities for active participation and practice, helping them improve their communication skills and build confidence in expressing themselves verbally, which is essential for their academic and personal development.
