What we need

Background

Alongside is a one-stop end of life service platform providing comprehensive services to the LGBTQIA+ community. Our services include advance planning and bereavement support. In Phase 1 service launch, we provide advance planning services to help our clients draft and execute some legal documents, including will, enduring power of attorney and advance medical directives. As these legal tools involve complicated legal concepts which all our volunteer case managers who will get contact with our clients have to get good grasp of all the concepts to avoid misunderstanding. Therefore a comprehensive in-house manual is needed for intake of new volunteers. In addition, the training manual includes our conflicts of interest policy, prevention of corruption and bribing and special training on the sensitivity issues when get in touch with sexual or gender minorities to ensure non-discriminative services.

What we have

Branding guidelines will be provided. Our case managers and legal advisor will provide necessary information to produce the in-house manual.

Why this is important

With our expanding client base, a strong volunteer team is needed to cater for the increasing demand of our services. A comprehensive intake training manual is necessary to facilitate effective training of our volunteers .
