Puccini’s Tosca is one of the most popular and widely performed operas in operatic history. It is a melodrama and passionate opera in three acts filled with love, lust, revenge and sacrifice. The story weaves together torture, murder and suicide, and eventually turns into a tragic love story. Since its premiere, audiences around the world have been captivated by its story. Some of Puccini’s best-known lyrical arias include “Vissi d’Arte, Vissi d’Amore” (I Lived for My Art, I Lived for Love) and “E Lucevan le Stelle” (And the Stars Shone).

It is Opera Hong Kong great pleasure to have an international creative team from France and Belgium for the set, costume and lighting design which is led by Vincent Boussard and Vincent himself as the director and costume designer of this brand-new OHK production of Tosca. Yves Abel, a renowned international conductor will join forces with Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra to deliver this enduring and popular work with a world-leading mixed cast, which includes Oksana Dyka, Anna Nechaeva, Roberto Aronica, Rame Lahaj, Claudio Sgura, Gabriele Viviani, and Gabriele Ribis. The superb-scale production by Opera Hong Kong is ready to be presented to Hong Kong audiences.

Volunteers could choose their preferable date of performance, subject to availability.
Latecomers are not admitted until intermission or suitable break.
