Causes
What we do
The Sports Legacy Scheme was first launched in 2012 by the Hong Kong Athletes Career and Education Programme (HKACEP) of the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC). The scheme aims to benefit planning to retire and retired athletes, schools and students. Our athletes are assigned as coaches to promote sports in the schools with fewer resources, provide sports training to their students and identify students’ sports talent while at the same time developing their coaching careers. Through sports training, beneficiary students are exposed to sports knowledge and values, and the spirit of Olympism which can help them build strong minds, discipline, and bodies. This helps boost sports culture in schools as well.
