What we need

• Join us for briefing to learn more about our organization and objectives of our event
• Welcome attendees as they arrive and assist with registration or check-in
• Provide attendees with necessary materials for the workshop, such as handouts, name tags, or supplies
• Guide attendees to the theatre and assist with seating arrangements
• Be available to answer any questions attendees may have about the workshop schedule, facilities, or other general inquiries
• Gather feedback forms or conduct post-workshop clean-up. Ensure the workshop area is clean and tidy before, during, and after the event
• Minimum commitment will be 2 sessions, please indicate your availability in your application

Background

Zuni is a registered cultural charity and an agency member of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS). We serve as one of Hong Kong's leading professional performing arts groups and engage in creative education to enrich social services through arts and culture. We have launched the "Zuni Welfare Ticket Scheme", offering discounted tickets to provide people from all walks of life the opportunity to experience theatre.This year, in addition to providing free tickets of the children music theatre "The Magic Flute and the Five Elements" to underprivileged beneficiaries, we are also offering a post-performance stage tour and an arts tech workshop. These additional offerings allow participants to gain a deeper understanding of the behind-the-scenes workings of theatre production.Each workshop session welcomes around 100 to 200 participants, primarily children, families, and individuals with disabilities, from 2 to 4 different organizations. We need volunteers to serve as our ambassadors, welcoming attendees and assisting with their participation.

A briefing will be provided to align the expectations, objectives and goals of the event. Our team will be supporting you and working with you align the way.A briefing is scheduled to take place at the Yuen Long Theatre on the afternoon of August 11th. For those who cannot attend in person, a virtual session will be available.

Why this is important

Zuni aims to enrich social services with art and culture, and provide more individuals, especially those lacking resources, with the opportunity to experience the charm of theatre through our programs.
