What we need
  • Help us to create a visually engaging infographics to highlight the impact of our yoga therapy programme
Background

We are looking for an experienced infographic designer/illustrator! YAMA Foundation’s Yoga Therapy Subsidy Scheme (YTSS) offers 10 sessions of yoga therapy intervention for children with moderate to severe disabilities/special needs. The programme is backed by a research track that measures changes in gross and fine motor planning, personal-social development, body awareness, mood, and energy regulation. We need to package our research findings into a summary report that illustrates the impact of our intervention.

What we have

(1) The report narrative (2) Lots of data, qualitative and quantitative research findings (3) Ongoing support by our research team

Why this is important

A growing body of international research indicates that yoga therapy is a validated intervention and viable alternative to traditional therapies. For families on long waitlists for government-subsidised services, yoga therapy can make a real difference as children can miss critical years of development. Our research form a part of YAMA Foundation's efforts to advocate for the inclusion of yoga therapy in early intervention programmes offered in targeted medical and educational settings.

What we do

YAMA Foundation believes that all people have the fundamental right to feel good in their bodies, peaceful in their minds, live colourful lives, and be part of a caring community -- no matter their background or ability. As a registered charity, YAMA Foundation removes barriers to wellbeing through yoga, art, and meditation therapy programmes that are accessible, rehabilitative, inclusive, and trauma-informed. Since 2016, we have been providing accessible wellbeing services to our city’s most vulnerable populations. Our work spans three core service areas: (1) people with disabilities, special needs (PWD/SEN) and/or chronic illness; (2) people living in poverty; and (3) people living with mental health issues. ● Video introduction - https://youtu.be/ik7SZgyKAe4
