Project Details

What we need
  • Take a 15 minutes call to learn more about the program
  • Minimum 4 formal meetings a year (face to face preferred or via Zoom), plus regular communication with mentee via phone, online every month
  • Participate in mentor and mentee activities, e.g. first formal meeting with mentees in July 2022, training sessions for mentors, attend several trainings for mentees, and Careers Exploration Day
  • Must attend interview in June 2022 (interview date can be discussed with mentor)
  • Build up mentee’s self confidence and positivity
  • Support mentee’s journey in exploring different careers and identifying pathways in achieving their career goals
  • Native spoken and written Chinese (Cantonese), preferably grew up or educated in HK
Background

The Falcon Program is an in-depth program providing personal and career development support for young people with one-to-one mentoring at its core. Mentees aged 18-21 who are from grassroot socio-economic background. Each mentee will be paired with a mentor based on gender, personality, interest and career background.

What we have

Throughout one year mentorship period, minimum 2 training sessions will be provided to mentors. Besides, mentors will be supported by coaches. Networking activities will be organized to foster mentors' mutual support and exchange mentorship experience.

Why this is important

Mentors in the 1-year Falcon Mentoring Program will become positive role models to their mentees, and provide support in their mentees’ journey in identifying and achieving their career goals and considering different pathways.
