Choral Festival Jury Assistant (Jan - Feb)
Help us as an Assistant Stage Manager for the Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival
Project Details
What we need
- To assist with the jury table's operations during the event
- To attend to jurors' ad hoc requests, ensuring their full attention remains on the performing choirs
- To participate in the accuracy review before the final results are announced
- Attend volunteer briefing on 12 Jan 2025
- One-time volunteers are welcome, but we prefer those who can commit to at least 8 sessions. These dedicated volunteers will receive a certificate of appreciation.
Background
Make a Difference for the Inter-School Choral Community! The primary objective of Hong Kong Inter-School Choral Festival (HKICF) is to offer equal opportunities for choral education, catering to students with varying resources and providing them with access to the world of choral art.Through its diverse range of events and programs, HKICF strives to create a vibrant choral culture that emphasises “Learning, Appreciation and Collaboration”.
What we have
A Volunteer Briefing will be hosted on 12 Jan 2025 (Sun) afternoon @ Venue TBC. We highly recommend joining as this is when we share the details of the logistics and operation.
Why this is important
The goal of HKICF is to let students in Hong Kong experience the full flavours of an international choral festival without having to travel. Therefore we take as many applying schools are possible to maximise accessibility of music exchange. With 200+ schools participating in our events this year across January to June, we could provide meaningful eduction experiences to students only if we have a strong army of supporters and volunteers. Join us in promoting choral music and music education to the youth of the city!

What we do
At the Hong Kong Virtuoso Chorus (HKVC), we believe every voice is a unique musical instrument waiting to be heard. However, we understand that not all voices have equal opportunities in Hong Kong.
