What we need

• Prior to rehearsal cycles, learn the accompaniment for the pieces to be performed by the Chorus. For a cappella pieces, become proficient at playing all choral lines simultaneously.
• Play chord progressions or other accompaniment as needed for the Chorus’s warm-up
• Play the accompaniment or variations thereof at the request of the Director (individual choral lines, chords only, strong/weak beats only, etc.).
• Identify discrepancies in notation and bring these to the Director’s attention
• Play for Chorus warm-ups prior to performances, and play the pieces to be performed by the Chorus.
