What we need

• Volunteers have to be at or over the age of 21, who wholeheartedly want to connect and mentor our children (primary 3 to primary 6)
• Participate in our training (3-4 sessions annually, 1 hour per session) related to children’s developmental needs, financial planning and life planning
• Offer guidance and support to children(1-2) to enhance and boost their personal growth
• Optional to share your experiences and skills as guest speakers in workshops and talks
• Be in touch with mentees at least once a month (Either through phone call, messages or meetings)

Background

The Child Development Fund Project serves children from less privileged family background. We aspire to develop children’s life planning and personal growth through experiential activities and mentorship programs.

What we have

Training related to children’s developmental needs, ways to do life-planning for children and financial management skill will be provided to mentors. Fun social gathering will be held for relaxation and bonding of the community.

Why this is important

Mentors can utilise their lived experience to share their own journey in life-planning with children and support the children on personal level.
