What we need
  • Develop a comprehensive visual identity system with guidelines for all visual elements
  • Define a primary and secondary color palette that represents the NGO's values and mission
  • Modify or recreate a unique logo with variations for different uses
  • Select and define a set of fonts that align with the NGO's brand personality
  • Design templates for key brand materials such as presentations, leaflets, and social media graphics
Background

We are a startup NGO and filling what we believe is a void in the 'market'. Unlike other regions, there are no resources in Hong Kong that make it easy for LGBTQ+ clients to find "affirmative counselors", meaning mental health practitioners who have the skills to validate clients with a different sexuality or gender identity. We are aiming to build a platform, assessment tools, educational material, to build such resources in Hong Kong. We are also aiming to serve all LGBTQ+ communities (local, expat, ethnic minorities).

What we have

You will be working with a brand identity consultant (another volunteer), who will define the mind and behavioral identities, and give you input to do the visual identity. You can also get feedback, if you need to, from an outside experienced brand consultant. Unfortunately, as we are a startup NGO, we don't have any funding or facilities yet.

Why this is important

We believe that a brand identity is required before we proceed with building any further online presence, including releasing more of our website, starting IG or expanding our website further. Previous attempts to post material online were marred by inconsistency.

What we do

TalkItOut ’s mission is to enhance the accessibility of LGBTQ+ affirmative professional counselling services to individuals in Hong Kong, empowering them to live an authentic and meaningful life. We are a startup NGO, in our first year. It's an exciting time to work with us. We are well connected to major mental health and LGBTQ+ organizations in Hong Kong, but need help with technical and marketing tasks. Our first activity is setting up an online platform where prospective clients can find mental health professionals where they can freely talk without having to hide their sexuality or gender identity. We also plan to organize training of affirmative practice to professionals in Hong Kong.
