Set up and provide event & visitor assistance at our competition on 25 Aug
Project Details
What we need
- Join us for a briefing through Zoom in early/ mid August (date and time TBC)
- Help with decorating venue and setting up basic equipment (eg. tables, chairs)
- Assist with arrangement of athlete entrances and exits
- Crowd control and answering basic enquiries from attendees
- 1 to 2 volunteer(s) will be assigned to help shooting video/ photos (ideal to bring own equipment, otherwise using mobile phone is fine too!)
- Volunteers need to arrive at 8am for set up and stay till around 6:30pm for reset venue (event ends at 6pm)
Background
This event aims at promoting Taekwondo as a national sport, inheriting the traditional Chinese spirit of martial arts and virtue, cultivating the next generation to carry on the legacy, fostering cultural exchange and Taekwondo technique between the Greater Bay Area, and establishing a relationship of mutual respect and inclusiveness.

A briefing will be provided to align the expectations, objectives and goals of the event. Our team will be supporting you and working with you align the way.
Why this is important
This event helps cultivate the younger generation, ensuring the continuity of this heritage, and foster cultural and technical exchange in Taekwondo between the two regions of the Greater Bay Area.

Causes
What we do
Social Seed was established in 2018 by alumni from the Chinese University of Hong Kong's MBA program. It has received guidance from several professors at the university and leaders of well-known charitable organizations. Social Seed aims to help and support vulnerable communities in society and assist underprivileged students in their growth through continuous education and public welfare initiatives. Since its establishment, Social Seed has served over 50,000 grassroots students through online and offline activities. It has organized over 100 events in collaboration with more than 40 supporting organizations, involving more than 300 primary schools and kindergartens and engaging hundreds of volunteers. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Social Seed has actively participated in the government's call for anti-pandemic actions and initiated a donation drive for epidemic prevention supplies. This donation drive has received support from over 30 commercial organizations, including two listed companies. The epidemic prevention supplies have been distributed to schools across various districts in Hong Kong, benefiting over 30,000 underprivileged families and delivering care and love to every community.
