What we need
- Join us for a briefing call to learn more about our operations and and expectations of the machine specifications
- Design and create specifications of the machine based on what our team is looking for, which can significantly boost our productivity, user-friendly, and complies with our health and safety requirements
- The design and specifications of the machine may be used as a "Ask for Quotation" document for the purpose of budgeting and ordering the machine
- Ensure the maintenance of the new machine is affordable and feasible for our team
Background
Soap Cycling collects the used amenities in which liquid soaps remain from hospitality industry. The liquid soap drained from the collected amenities will be distributed to the people in need of them. The liquid soap drained and stored in a container such as 1L or 5L bottle must be same type (shower gel, shampoo or hair conditioner) and collected from the same hotel. In the meantime, the plastic bottles or tubes containing the liquid soap need to be cleaned from soap residue, sticker, the glue left by the sticker, and are separated from the cap, for the good of plastic recycling.

Why this is important
Higher productivity of liquid soap recycling enhances reducing more plastic wastes, saving more valuable resource from landfill to bring hygiene to more people who need it. Consequently, it allows Soap Cycling to make a bigger positive impact on environmental conservation, equitable hygiene, and community empowerment

What we do
Soap Cycling is a tax-exempt charity founded in 2012 that collect lightly-used hotel amenities (soap bars, shampoo, bath gel, etc.) which are normally thrown away, reprocess them with the help of our vast volunteer network, then distribute the finished product to underprivileged communities in Hong Kong and throughout Asia. Soap Cycling is much more than a recycling company: we are a platform that encourages community empowerment, youth development, and entrepreneurship. Our Vision is to use soap recycling as a tool to engage the community and inspire the next generation to reach their full potential in leading the way to a more sustainable future. Our Missions are: (1) To research and create lasting and scalable waste solutions for soap and other waste products in the hospitality industry (2) To provide employment and youth empowerment opportunities in local communities (3) To improve sanitation and hygiene of disadvantaged communities by providing soap for free
