What we do

The Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation was co-founded in July 1994 by Mr. Louis Chiu Sheen Charm and Professor Alice Chiu Tsang Hok Wan, BBS, JP. With a steadfast belief in using every donated dollar wisely, the foundation is dedicated to serving the elderly, orphans, chronic patients, the disabled, underprivileged families, and victims of natural disasters. It also promotes cultural and heritage conservation to contribute to and create a better world. Over the years, Sheen Hok has supported more than 300 charitable projects. This includes funding the construction of 9 Child Friendly Centres in Canada and China, providing basic healthcare, disease prevention, dental care, and orthopedic care to newborns, children, and pregnant women. The foundation has also emphasized professional medical training for local professionals in gynecology and pediatrics. In the field of education, Sheen Hok has established 9 New Hope Schools in remote Chinese villages, giving underprivileged children access to basic education. Through its diverse initiatives, the Sheen Hok Charitable Foundation has consistently worked towards its mission of supporting those in need and creating a better world.
