What we need

• Join us for a 30-minute call to learn more about our organization, program objectives, and event rundown
• Participate in an online rehearsal, which will take place 1 or 2 days before the event, for a duration of 1 to 2 hours
• Monitor participant attendance during the IdeaPOP! Semi Pitch event on Zoom
• Promptly contact absent participants to manage presentation flow
• Maintain event integrity and provide ZOOM technical assistance as needed
• The competiion will be held during 8:45 am - 5:45 pm on 13 April (split into two sessions with a 1.5 hour lunch break in between)

Background

IdeaPOP! is a start-up pitch competition for all secondary school students in Hong Kong who are creative and eager to build innovation and entrepreneurship spirits. Students are able to gain start-up pre-incubation experience beyond classroom. All entering teams will have the chance to undergo a series of mentorship and training workshops that guide the students to build and present a pitch deck professionally, before pitching in front of industry experts.

What we have

An event rundown and meal of the day will be provided. Brief training on ZOOM control will be provided as well. Constant support and assistance will be provided from the preparation to the event day.

Why this is important

The Semi Pitch is the big moment when our students show off the hard work they've done. They will share their carefully made business ideas and presentations that they've been working on for three months. On that day, around 30 respected judges will review the work of 80 teams, which includes 320 students. Volunteers who helps with tech and admin will be there to make sure the event goes smoothly and to fix any unexpected problems. This will help make sure that both the mentors and the student teams have a good time.
