Assist with emceeing and hosting our student pitch competition on 13 Apr
Project Details
What we need
- Join us for a 30 minutes call to learn more about our organization, program objectives and event rundown
- Participate in an online rehearsal, which will take place 1 or 2 days before the event, for a duration of 1 to 2 hours
- Volunteers are required to physically attend the event at our office in Wan Chai from 8:45 am - 5:45 pm on 13 April (split into two sessions with a 1.5 hour lunch break in between)
- Coordinate with the SEED Foundation team on the event day to address any issues with participant attendance or technical aspects
Background
IdeaPOP! is a start-up pitch competition for all secondary school students in Hong Kong who are creative and eager to build innovation and entrepreneurship spirits. Students are able to gain start-up pre-incubation experience beyond classroom. All entering teams will have the chance to undergo a series of mentorship and training workshops that guide the students to build and present a pitch deck professionally, before pitching in front of industry experts.
What we have
The script and event rundown will be provided. Meal of the day will be provided as well. Constant support and assistance will be provided from the preparation to the event day.
Why this is important
Semi Pitch is the big stage where our students show the pitching and pitch deck that they have prepared over around 3 months. There will be around 30 judges who participate on that day and evaluate students' performance. The event emcee will help to ensure that the event runs smoothly and that both judges and student teams will have a great experience.
