Be a mentor to secondary school student groups for their entrepreneurship projects in a start-up pitch competition

What we need
- Read the provided Mentorship Guidebook to learn more about the program and our organisation’s mission
- Carry out 3 times of 40-minutes mentoring session with the mentees in each month
- Give kind advice and guidance to the mentees on their start-up idea and strategies
- Be the judging panel with other mentors for the competition's Semi Pitch day (online)
Background
IdeaPOP! is a startup pitch competition for all secondary school students in Hong Kong who are creative and eager to build innovation and entrepreneurship spirits and gain startup pre-incubation experience beyond classroom.SEED Foundation is the organizer of the competition this year, and for the first time all entering teams will have the chance to undergo a series of mentorship and training workshops that guide the students to build and present a pitch deck professionally, before pitching in front of industry experts.
What we have
We will provide a Mentorship Guidebook with introduction to the program and a framework for mentors to take reference from. Mentors can also contact us to report any issues or difficulties faced in the mentorship through our email.
Why this is important
This mentorship program is one of the key elements of IdeaPOP! 2023. You would help us to provide in-depth exposure and expert knowledge to the student teams. Furthermore, you will also be the key person to prepare students to pitch in front of a panel of industry experts. You would have this chance to guide and join the growth of around 80 secondary school students.
