Be a 1-day mentor to secondary school student groups for their entrepreneurship projects in a start-up pitch competition

What we need
- Read the provided Mentorship Guidebook to learn more about the event and our organisation’s mission
- There will be AM and PM sessions. Each session will engage with 10 teams of 4 students, spending 15 minutes with each team to discuss their ideas.
- Give kind advice and guidance to the mentees on their start-up idea and strategies
- Digital certificate will be presented to all volunteers
Background
IdeaPOP! is a startup pitch competition for secondary school students in Hong Kong, designed to inspire creativity, nurture entrepreneurial thinking, and offer hands-on experience in startup pre-incubation.As a kickstart coach, you'll have the unique opportunity to guide young innovators as they develop their business ideas, refine their pitches, and gain real-world insights into entrepreneurship. Participating teams will access a self-learning resource hub and receive mentorship to craft professional business proposals. The journey culminates in an exciting pitch event where teams present their ideas to industry experts—an experience made even more impactful with your guidance and expertise.
What we have
We will provide a Mentorship Guidebook with an introduction to the program and a framework for mentors to take reference from. Staff will also be on-site to support the volunteers if they have any questions. Volunteers who confirm their participation in the full-day session will be provided with a lunch box as a gesture of our appreciation.
Why this is important
This 1-day mentorship event is one of the key elements of IdeaPOP! 2025. You would help us to provide in-depth exposure and expert knowledge to the student teams.
