What we need

• Prepare the art activities of parent-child workshops (e.g. drawing, creating art work, wood craft)
• Deliver the one-hour workshops from 10am to 6pm on Saturdays during March to August
• We are aiming to recruit 4 volunteers to split the Saturday shifts (only 1 volunteer need to show up at each session)
• There'll be maximum 5 families joining each session; the children are aged 4-12 with special education needs
• We will purchase all the materials needed
• A subsidy of HK$100 per hour per tutor will be provided
• Volunteers must be able to speak fluent Cantonese while having experience with SEN children will be ideal (optional)

Background

We are launching parent-child workshops in order to help the parent to understand how to interact with their children with special education needs. Artw/craft workshops can be delivered. Four to six pairs of parents and children will take the workshop each time. All these workshops are on Saturdays.

What we have

A subsidy of HK$100 per hour per tutor will be provided. The project team will purchase all the materials needed. We will also arrange a coordinator to support the volunteers.

Why this is important

We would like to help the autism families to improve their interaction with autistic children.
