What we need

• It takes about 1 hour to format one report, and 2 hours to proofread one report
• You may take only one part of the task (formatting OR proofreading), or both parts
• Some experience in designing brochures or reports would be helpful
• Native English speaker, or with advanced English abilities is preferred

Background

We are preparing an Employment Compass guide for NGOs in different jurisdictions. The guide will be an important and useful tool for NGOs to understand the laws and procedures of employment law. We have finalized guides for many countries already, but have a number still to finish. Volunteer will format and proofread the rest of the guides by referring to the completed ones.

What we have

(1) 5-10 Word documents to be formatted; (2) Completed and finalized guides for reference (https://www.pilnet.org/resource/global-employment-compass/); and (3) Fonts and format requirements.

Why this is important

For many employers, the pandemic, the displacement of workers following events in Ukraine, Russia and Afghanistan, and the general increase in new ways of working, have led to a greater use of less traditional employment arrangements and a broader physical location of workers. For NGOs, it can be difficult to navigate and comply with the legal framework as it applies to each of these types of workers and the different jurisdictions they work in. Employment compass could help them carry on with their mission and help those in need.
