Share advice and help us develop a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) policy
Our organization has decided to develop and implement a DEI policy moving forward. We are looking for a volunteer experienced in DEI to help us lead this effort given that we have little internal knowledge and expertise. The volunteer should engage senior management and other staff who have expressed their interest in this topic in drafting the DEI policy. Ideally, the volunteer can suggest ways our organization can measure progress in implementing the policy. We would envision the process as follows (of course the volunteer may suggest alternatives): - Volunteer has initial briefing call with senior management- Volunteer organizes a discussion with all interested staff to gather input- Volunteer drafts policy based on current template- Volunteer engages staff to review draft policy and refines/finalizes it accordingly - Volunteer suggest ways how we can practically measure progress
We have already created a DEI Working Group which consists of staff who have expressed interest in this topic and are willing to contribute to the development of the policy. We have also started to draft the actual policy already based on existing templates we found.
This project will help us in achieving greater diversity, equity and inclusion at PILnet!
