What we need

• Join a 1 hour meeting prior to the event on 27 April to learn more about our event
• Provide simultaneous translation for a research presentation through a mic for ~5 foreigners
• Prepare the mic and earphone (optional)
• Event takes place on 27 Apr 2:30pm - 5:30pm and translation is needed during 2:45pm - 3:45pm

Background

Oxfam Hong Kong is hosting the Living Wage Initiative Official Launch on 27 April. We will share the latest research results, followed by keynotes from 2 speakers and networking time. Press may also be available to report the research, yet the translator does not need to communicate with the press.

Why this is important

Working poverty has been one of the key focus of OHK. The Living Wage Initiative aims to alleviate poverty by encouraging more employers to provide Living Wage to all of their directly employed staff. We target to promote our Initiative to more potential employers through this launch.
